Accommodations Limit Reached

Accommodations was the only sector in this intake with no remaining positions. Its 50 positions used matched its 50-position limit, and the SINP stated that the intake-window position limit for the accommodations sector was reached on September 14, 2026.

Trucking had 55 remaining positions and retail had 51. Together, those sector figures account for the reported total of 106 remaining positions.

Eligibility Note for This Intake

For this intake, only workers with six months or less remaining on a valid work permit were eligible to submit immigration applications.

Capped-Sector Intake Windows

The SINP accepts Employer Position Assessment applications for capped sectors during designated intake windows. The program identifies Retail Trade, Trucking, and Accommodation and Food Services as capped sectors.

Each position requested through an Employer Position Assessment counts toward the applicable intake-window position limit, and positions are accepted on a first-come, first-served basis. The capped sectors may use a maximum of 25% of the annual SINP nomination allocation.

The SINP described the September 14 and 15 intake as the final capped-sector intake of 2026.
