Rural Renewal eligibility
Start with the community named in your job offer. The Rural Renewal Stream requires an eligible offer in a designated Alberta community and an endorsement letter from that community. If either is missing, matching the score in the table does not resolve the eligibility issue. Compare your provincial expression-of-interest score with the Rural Renewal rows.
Alberta Opportunity Stream eligibility
This result is relevant to eligible temporary workers already working full-time in Alberta. Before comparing scores, check that your current occupation is eligible and that your full-time offer is for that occupation. Alberta assesses the offer and work experience against your current occupation, so a job offer in another field does not serve the same purpose.
Health care pathways in Alberta
The Dedicated Health Care Pathway has separate Express Entry and non-Express Entry options. Check which option applies to you, then review the requirements for your health profession and Alberta job offer before using a row from the table. If your pathway uses Express Entry, compare the listed score with your Alberta Worker EOI score. Federal CRS is calculated separately.
Rural Renewal draw comparison
The two most recent Rural Renewal Stream rounds in this update both had a minimum score of 51. The newer round issued 173 invitations, compared with 37 in the earlier round. The increase in invitations came with no change in the reported minimum.
What to do after an AAIP invitation
Check the stream or pathway in your invitation email and check that you qualify and can provide the documents on its checklist. You have 15 days to use the invitation link and create and save a draft in Alberta’s application portal. Once you create the draft, you have 30 days to complete and submit it and pay the application fee.
If Alberta later nominates you, follow the permanent residence instructions for your stream. The Alberta PNP guide explains the next steps after nomination, including permanent residence and work permit planning.
